Roots Edu

A data tracking software for educators of children with Autism

Interview Main Points

Problem Statment

Applied Behavior Analysis therapists and educators of children who have attention deficits need a way to organize and collect their data so that they can analyze the child’s progress and work on weak points.

User stories

This was my process of narrowing down the user stories that Roots Edu can create helping me prioritize the most important areas based on their impact and their feasibility.

User flows

For each of my three chosen user stories I have created user flows to help me understand the most important parts of the application. I have been able to decide on big picture flows of the app such as the order of the screens but also more minor details like the pieces of data input that I need for example using ✓ for correct input points or x for incorrect input points.

Notifications & Alerts

I had to make sure that there was a simple way to access the notes on each of the programs and parts of the app. This notification center had to be able to hold notes from multiple people and the date these notes were written.

Design Development

Wireframing and adjusting based on user feedback, starting with the most important main components.

Style Guide

Choosing the right colors to create a calm but focused and productive experience, as well as enhancing and creating components for a simpler hand over for coding and development.
